This website outlines Skidmore’s latest guidelines and plans concerning COVID-19. Please carefully review all information as it applies to you.
Health Services Covid-19 and Flu Guidance
Plans are consistent with guidance issued by the American College Health Association, Centers for Disease Control, and state and local health departments. They are subject to change at any time. As we navigate this together, our efforts continue to be guided by two key principles:
- Protecting the health and safety of our community of students, faculty and staff, and the greater Saratoga Springs community
- Providing access to a residential, excellent liberal arts education
Current Policies and Guidelines
Skidmore continues to be a mask-supportive and mask-friendly community. Individuals should feel free and comfortable to wear a mask whenever and wherever they wish. The College will continue to monitor and follow CDC recommendations as circumstances evolve.
Review the CDC's Respiratory Virus Guidelines for further information on how you can stay safe and protect others.
Students, Faculty, and Staff: Effective as of May, 12 2023, the College will no longer require the COVID-19 vaccination for faculty, staff, or students. However, the College highly recommends that all community members receive their vaccinations, including the updated COVID-19 vaccine, as recommended by the CDC and individuals' healthcare providers.
Students may purchase rapid tests at the the Skidmore Shop. Health Services may perform rapid and/or PCR testing depending on a student's individual symptoms and circumstances.
A visitor is defined as any individual on the Skidmore campus who is not a Skidmore College student, faculty, or staff member. General visitors include individuals on campus for tours, exhibits, events, etc.; athletics spectators; visitors from other colleges; retirees; and any other non-student or non-employee community member. Visitors to offices and workspaces include vendors, contractors, speakers, job candidates, admissions recruits, and other third parties.

All visitors to campus are strongly encouraged to be up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations.
