Musical Theater Opera Workshop collaboration: ‘Die Fledermaus’
Skidmore's Musical Theater Opera Workshop and the Schenectady-Saratoga Symphony Orchestra will present Johann Strauss's “Die Fledermaus” at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, at the Zankel Music Center. Jessica Byers ’24, Maggie Besthoff ’24, Johnny Mulcahy ’24, Naomi Wagner ’26, Ben Harris ’27, and Ava Accorsi ’27, and faculty Sylvia Stoner ’94, Casey Gray, and Andrew Burger, will perform. Visible mending workshop
Join Karen Stevens ’88 at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, at the Tang for a visible mending workshop, organized in conjunction with the exhibition “Yvette Molina: A Promise to the Leaves,” and learn how to use fabric remnants and embroidery supplies to “visibly mend” garments into pieces that are functional and beautiful. Make Your Voice Heard Skidmore Public Policy Prize competition
Applications for the 2024 Make Your Voice Heard Skidmore Public Policy Prize competition are due at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 12. The competition is an opportunity to engage with letter writing and grassroots campaigns about important public policy issues.
Swim lessons
The Skidmore swimming and diving team is offering swimming lessons for children 4 years and older every Thursday, beginning March 28. Sign-ups will take place in person at the Williamson Sports Center lobby from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 7. Email Head Coach Jill Greenleaf for complete program information.
